Father, we thank you for the saints down through the ages that have faithfully served you and have set us an example by their walk. Thank you for those who sacrificed homes, possessions, and their very lives for your Kingdom. Your word tells us that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Let the memory of their service cause us to follow Jesus more closely. Amen.
