Lord of all Patience,
Grant me the strength to embrace patience in these uncertain times.
Calm my mind and help me trust when I can't see a way forward.
Remove frustration and confusion from my mind.
Give me the grace to be understanding with myself and others.
In all ways and at all times, help me to show patience and love.

Dear God,
I come to you believing that you hear my prayer. In this I have trust.
Yet it seems so hard to trust that you will bring good in my life.
Teach me Lord to see life as you do - help me with the big picture.
Bless me to live my life from my heart and not my head.
I open my heart and surrender control to You.
The path ahead is unclear and I need you to show me the way.
Help me to walk by faith and not by sight.
Give me the courage to trust your heart even when I cannot see your hand.
Fill my soul with peace and remind me that you are my refuge.
Bring strength to my faith and teach me to trust in your Spirit.
I knowing that your plans for me are always good.
Guide my steps, helping me to rest and trust in you.

Dear Lord,
Quiet my anxious thoughts and soothe my troubled heart.
Heal the wounds I carry within and replace fear with calm.
Fill me with peace, and help me rest in knowing you are with me.
I release all my cares to you trusting in your grace.

Matchless God,
You are the only being who makes no mistakes and never miscalculates. And yet, when I make mistake and miscalculate I wear myself out, beating myself up, and am angry for my imperfection.
Sometimes I forget that you are God and I am not. I seek perfection to convince myself all is right with the broken world, and also to please you, forgetting you rejoice over me with singing. (Zeph 3:17)
This search for perfection in unattainable and yet I purse it as a desire to claim power over my own life. I prefer self-reliance over surrender to your will.
The fear that drives my desire for perfection will never defeat the power of your love, care, and faithfulness. You promise peace and a plan for my life and yet still I doubt, taking the reigns myself.
May I long for and desire - more than perfectionism - is to rest in your perfect care, your perfect love, your perfect plan, and your perfect will for my life.
Thank you, Father, for being the author and perfecter of my faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Because of your perfect work on the cross, I no longer need to seek perfection, beat myself up for my imperfection, and wear myself out trying to please you.
Give me intention and purpose, without the desire for perfection, so that I may trust in your, the only true matchless and perfect One.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of this new year, a chance to start fresh.I pray for your wisdom and guidance as I step into this new beginning.Help me to release past burdens, regrets, or old ways that hold me back.Strengthen me to face challenges with patience, kindness, and integrity.Use me as a vessel of hope, to uplift others and be your light in the world.Align my heart with Yours, transform my mind, and restore me to be like you.Bless me not to dwell on yesterday but focus forward with faith.
I am trusting in your mercies that are new every morning.I surrender this year to you, knowing I do not walk alone.

Above all, trust in the slow work of God.We are quite naturally impatient in everything to reach the end without delay.We should like to skip the intermediate stages.We are impatient of being on the way to something unknown, something new.And yet it is the law of all progressthat it is made by passing through some stages of instability—and that it may take a very long time.And so I think it is with you;your ideas mature gradually—let them grow,let them shape themselves, without undue haste.
Don’t try to force them on,as though you could be today what time(that is to say, grace and circumstances acting on your own good will)will make of you tomorrow.Only God could say what this new spiritgradually forming within you will be.
Give Our Lord the benefit of believingthat his hand is leading you,and accept the anxiety of feeling yourselfin suspense and incomplete.
Dear Lord,
Grant me flexibility, the ability to bend without breaking.
Enable me to find the grace to adapt to change with a peaceful heart.
Help me to be less stubborn and more open to new experiences.
Bless me that I might trust you when my plans go sideways.
Open my heart that I might find joy in unexpected moments.
And guide me to release rigidness and be more responsive to You.
In all things I will praise you and seek your will.

Be gracious to me, O God ... have mercy on me ... oppression and depression seems to camp all around me ... I need you Lord.I put my trust in you ... I am afraid ... I lean into your words for courage ... in you I trust ... I shall not be afraid ... what can flesh do to me?All day long evil seems to lurk trying to injure me ... bombarding me with nasty thoughts ... trying to tempt me and cause me to fall ... but you are faithful Lord.You have kept count of my trials ... saved my tears and written them in your book ... you understand me and are touched by my pain.This I know ... you are for me ... Lord,
I am weary, tired and worn out.
I come to you seeking rest for my body, mind, and soul.

I long to have faith like a child.

Dear Father God,
I come seeking your grace and strength to take risks.
Stepping outside of my comfort zone is scary and challenging.
Give me the courage to trust in your guidance and plan for my life.
Help me to discern when to step out in faith and when to wait.
Give me wisdom to adjust my plans as life unfolds before me.
I ask to not be paralyzed by fear, but rather filled with confidence.
Help me to be bold and not afraid to take risks as you lead me.
I know that you will be at work in my life whenever I say yes to you.

Father, I feel like a leper in a world of healthy people. I am alone, and I choose aloneness over the threat of judgment and more shame. Please keep people like Job's friends far from me. I'm not a project to be fixed, a riddle to be solved, or a waif to be pitied. Who can possibly understand what it feels like to be me? Who will meet me in this pain?
Only you, my God, only you can.
I'm sorry that I cannot run to you, Father. I have no strength and little will. The best I can do is to collapse on Jesus. So I fall on the One who took my place and bore my shame.
Meet me here, Father, and pour your mercy upon me. For Jesus' sake, I make my plea. Amen.
Dearest Father,
My life is hard and my days are lonely.
Even so, I will trust you Lord.
Sickness has consumed my world and tears adorn my eyes.

Friends have left me and I feel forsaken.

Dear God,I don’t know.I don’t know where to go from here.I don’t know what is happening.I don’t know how to process this.I don’t know what to do with these emotions.I don’t know how to handle this situation.But You know. And I trust you.

Loving Father,We have been hurt, betrayed and misunderstood.It is hard for us to be open with you and our friends.Help us to let down our guards.We have been controlling all of our lives.It is hard for us to let go of control.Help us to release our tight grip on life.We had dreams that fell apart and aspirations that were crushed.It seems impossible for us to dream again.Help us to see our future in positive ways again.We live each day hoping for blessings and miracles.It is difficult to find our way when things seem so dark.Brighten our paths and help us to trust you each day.We offer ourselves and our lives to you dear God.In these times of pain and difficulty we commit our way to you.Proclaiming your lordship, we place our trust in you.Amen.
