I come to you today just as I am.
Thank you for making me exactly who I am.

Dear Father,
Christmas began with the miracle of the Incarnation.
It seems that it is a time of hope, possibilities and optimism.
We thank you so much for giving us Jesus.
As we celebrate his miraculous birth, turn our hearts toward heaven.
Cause us to see you anew with hearts transformed by your Spirit.
Bless us to reflect your love and goodness to all around us.
You, O blessed Savior, are worthy of all honor and praise.
In this season we celebrate and glory in your Son.
To him belongs all praise.

Heavenly Father,
You are the God of all seasons.
You are with me in my joys and in my sorrows.
I thank you for your unconditional love.
I am blessed to have you in my life in every season.
I am so thankful that you are working all things for my good.
I pray for the strength and faith to walk through every season.
I praise you in both glad times and in painful times.
I am trusting in you as I become more and more like your Son.
In every season, I give thanks to you and for you.

There is something healing about the giving of thanks. We acknowledge God's goodness when we give thanks to him in the midst of struggle and pain. We seemingly reach back to times of divine blessings when we remember what God has done in our lives. Such memories can be an anchor in the storm.I can relate to times of pain when all I had was a memory of the goodness of God. There is something about a memory that can cause me to be thankful. When my parents passed on my memories of them caused me to be thankful for their lives. I think that it is helpful to give thanks to God in rough times.
With that in mind, I ask you to pray with me.
We remember what you have done in our lives Lord. And we give thanks.For your presence in good times and bad. We give thanks.For the people that you have placed in our lives. We give thanks.For the ways that you work all things together for our good. We give thanks.For the gift of your Son. Our hearts are filled with Thanksgiving.Amen
Dear God,
My world and my life is a mess. I wake to deal with a lot of sorrow and pain.Yet you, O Lord, are precious in my sight. I am thankful for you and the people who are in my life. There is no one like you. Your love breaks me and your mercy encourages me every day.Thank you for your constant presence and for guiding me through every step of my journey. I am grateful for the strength you provide in my weakness, the comfort you offer in sorrow, and the hope You instill in my heart. All praise to you Lord. Honor and glory belong to you.Thank you for the lessons I am learning through this difficult time, for the strength I am building by overcoming it, and for the way it is making me more like you. Help me to remember my blessings, no matter how small they may seem, and to see the good that can come from this hard time.Remind me that You are bringing beauty from my struggles and that peace can be found in letting go. Please give me the wisdom to navigate this challenge and the patience to endure it. Continue to be with me, and help me to always have a heart of gratitude, even when it is difficult.Amen.

God of all mercy and peace,On this Memorial Day weekend, we give thanks.For those who courageously laid down their lives for our freedom.May the examples of their sacrifice inspire in us a selfless love.
For the families and friends who suffered and lost so much.Bless the families of our fallen, and fill their homes and their lives with strength.Embolden us to answer the call to work for peace and justice.
Motivate us to seek an end to violence and conflict around the globe.We ask this in your name.

We know that our help does not come from within creation.Our help comes from you. You have created all things.You raise us up. You are always with us.

To pray is to regain a sense of the mystery that animates all beings,the divine margin in all attainments.Prayer is our humble answer to the inconceivable surprise of living.It is all we can offer in return.Who is worthy to be present at the constant unfolding of time?Here we are admist the meditation of the land,
the songs of the water, the humility of the flowers,flowers wiser than all alphabets.Suddenly we feel embarrassed,ashamed of our complaints and clashes in the face of tacit glory.How strange we are in the world!Only one response can maintain us:gratefulness for the gift of our unearned chance to serve, to wonder,
to love life and each other.It is gratefulness which makes our small souls great.
