Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Never Give Up

                                          One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show
      that they should always pray and never give up. Luke 18:1 (NLT)

Oh Father, how prone we are to loose our focus on faith in You and to yield to the frailty of our human nature and simply give up.  With the world so divided, driven by selfishness, pride, unjust power to dominate culture and the unmerciful abuse to fellow human beings and in rebellion against You. It is a true dilemma that this sinful world has no answer for.

So we turn our eyes, minds and hearts to You the Sovereign God.  As the Holy Scriptures reminds us in Jude 1:25.  "To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen."

Father in your wisdom, grace and power You have providentially provided a plan for the salvation of all who will trust in You.  So we look to You alone and the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Holy Spirit. As the Scriptures admonish us: "looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)

Father in the wonderful words of this song we turn our eyes to you.

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free.

  Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
  In the light of His glory and grace.

2
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conqu’rors we are!

3
His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Amen,
