Learning to Lean

I thank Thee Lord, for shattered dreams,

For overwhelming torrent streams,

That swept away, the very thing,

To which I might have learned to cling.

I thank Thee Lord, for trials score,

That taught me how to trust Thee more;

For when I found no other stay,

I learned to lean on Thee each day.
