Daily Prayer

we know He hears

When we lift up our voices in prayer to our very mighty and powerful God, we should do so with eager expectancy. We know that our God hears our every petition. He hears our cry and he cares. We can have the sweet assurance that nothing we are going through goes unnoticed by our Lord. He cares about the smallest details of our lives and those things that matter to us matter to Him even more. So whenever we hit our faces in prayer, we can be certain that He already knows what we are going through and that He is just waiting for us to voice it to Him so He can begin ministering to our hearts and souls.

We may not always get the answer that our flesh desires, but we always get the answer that will lead to the greatest glory in our lives. God is faithful and we can trust and believe that the answer to our prayers will always be what is best for us.

So lift your voice to God and expect that He will begin a mighty work in your life.

"I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me"

no such thing as impossible with God

We are so blessed that we serve a God who can do the impossible. We serve a God who IS the impossible! He heals, He restores, He calms and He comforts. There is nothing that is beyond His control. There is nothing that He can't do. We can face any situation because we know that our precious Lord will be right there with us. He is our everything.

"For with God nothing shall

be impossible"

Prayer for Aurora Victims

We all woke up yesterday to the news that a gunman opened fire early Friday, killed 12 people and injured 59 others in a crowded suburban Denver theater at the opening of The Dark Knight Rises. Let us pray.

Come Holy Spirit. Come in power. Come in comfort. Come in wisdom. Come in healing.

Be present dear Lord in the lives of those 59 people who were injured. Manifest yourself to the families and friends of those 12 who were killed. Let faith and not fear rule the day. Please trump this evil with good. Bring your children together in love and unity. Help this community to heal.

Come Holy Spirit. Come in power. Come in comfort. Come in wisdom. Come in healing.

prayer is dependent upon our faith

"Anyone who comes to Him must believe that

He exists and that He rewards those who

earnestly seek Him"

(Hebrews 11:6)

Prayer is totally dependent upon our Faith. Prayer will accomplish nothing unless it is directly attached to faith. It is what makes prayer effective and is an absolute prerequisite in our prayer lives.

Our faith needs to begin working even before we give voice to our prayers. The Word tells us that when we come to Him we must come believing and that when we acknowledge His existence and His power, then He rewards those who seek Him with their whole heart. He rewards those who seek His face.

If we want to receive from God, we must ask believing that we will get it! We must ask with proper motives in our hearts. We must ask knowing that He is the only ONE who can supply our needs. But we must ask with the foreknowledge of His existence and Sovereignty in our hearts.

Precious Father, we know that without FAITH our prayers are without effect. Help us, Oh, Lord, to put our prayers into action by standing firm in our Faith in you. We give you praise and glory and honor.

Lord, I honor Your faithful messengers who offered themselves a living sacrifices to You. They abandoned dignity, renounced comfort and relinquished possessions to go forth and cry redemption to the lost. Give me that heart, Lord. I come to the Cross and by faith declare myself crucified with Christ and alive unto God, ready to worship and serve You with my life. Amen
