when we are burned out

Dear Lord,

I am tired, burned out and in need of encouragement.

In Your goodness, help me to grow in faith and hope each day.

I confess my trust in you and I release control of my life to you.

Please give me a vision of the future that you have prepared for me.

Lift me out of my depression, and hold me close as I struggle.

As we walk together, help me to place my worries and doubts in your hands.

Replace the dark cloud of depression with a joy that is found you alone.

Thank You for my life and for all of the unseen blessings in it.

I praise you for being with me always.

Heavenly Father,

When I feel crushed by my own worries,

Lift my mind and help me to see the truth.

When fear grips me tight and I feel I cannot move,

Dear God,

letting go of the past

Lord,

I kneel before You in humble submission and pray that in Your mercy and kindness You would help me to simply let go of all the fears and worries, problems and doubts, guilt and disappointments that seem to be filling my heart and mind so often, during the course of a day.

Fill my hurting soul with Your love and peace I pray. Fill the emptiness and pain that is tearing my life asunder. Lord, You know what is in my heart and why I am going through this time of fear and worry. Help me Lord, to take every thought captive, to hand it over to You as it rears up in my mind, and help me to replace it with thoughts and words of Scripture that tell of Your great might and wonderful power.

Lord, You have told us to think about whatever is lovely and pure and holy and good, and I pray that You would help me to turn the eyes of my heart upon Jesus and look to Him day by day. In Jesus' name I pray,

Dear Lord,

As I follow you on this divine journey, I ask that You would use me as a vessel to pour out mercy and love without measure on others. And that You would use me to encourage others to show the same mercy and forgiveness to others.

Lord I know that in and of myself I have nothing that commends me for this special ministry of mercy and encouragement. Without Christ I can do nothing but in Him I can do all things - for He gives me the strength.
