Heavenly Father, we are your childrlen, You are our Father. We praise You and lift Your Name on high! Day after day, with the rising of the sun and the cover of darkness at night, let our tongues never cease to praise Your Holy Name. We are so grateful to be Your children. Let the Name of the Lord be praised! I love You. Amen

Dear Lord,

In a world that mocks thoughts and prayers, help us to be aware of our friends who are hurting and in need of help.

Help us Father to be mindful of your heart and motivate us to pray when people and situations come to our minds.

In times of cynicism and apathy, cause us to embrace hope as we pray for your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Who am I to judge another?

Help me Lord to pray and not judge.
Teach me to be mindful of my blindspots.

Remind me Father of my faulty vision.

In all things lead me in ways that heal.

Cause me to be a person who bring peace.

In every situation, encourage me to encourage.

I pray for protection from vengeful thoughts.

When I am tempted to judge, help me to resist.

prayer is a privilege

Many events of recent times have shown me just how privileged we are with the gift of PRAYER.

Those times I have no words…God hears the cry of my heart.

Those times I’m too weak to utter a sound…God is hearing the groans of my spirit.

Those times I’m simply out of any coherent thought processes… He knows the deepest needs that exist in my life.

What a beautiful privilege PRAYER is. What an incredible gift He has bestowed upon His children.

Oh that we would cherish the opportunity we have for communication and that we would be in awe of our ability to tap into the POWER available through Christ.

Prayer is a privilege.

prayer for protection

Father God,

We take refuge in You, O Lord. Cover and protect us from all harm. You are the rock of refuge, in whom we can trust. You are faithful and loving, and watch over us everywhere we go.

Be our hope, Sovereign Lord. We praise You for Your power, and it's in this power that helps us stand firm in hope. A hope that points us to Your son, Jesus, and reminds us of all You have done for us.

And You continue to work in us, too, which gives us more hope. Hope for change in us and in the world. So as we ask for you to be our refuge, help us to remember to go out and point others to Jesus, knowing we in Your safe hands.

Dear Heavenly Father ~ How can we ever thank you enough for adopting us into Your family, and calling us Your children. For reasons we will never understand, You have chosen us to be heirs of a heavenly legacy and even more remarkable, to be joint-heirs with Your only begotten Son. We are so greatful. How we long to be like Jesus. Transformed into His likeness so that in this life, we may bear the family resemblance for Him. I love You Father! Amen

seeing beauty in creation

Father,

Thank You for all the beauty we see around us.

Help us to look beyond it to see the Artist.

Help us not to pass by indifferently, but to notice what You have painted on the canvas of the world. Even in places like coral reefs, which until recently few humans have seen.

Let us not focus on the corruption that has since crept in, but look beyond it to see the beauty of Your person.

Lord help us to be mindful of Your Provision. Help us to see it in its perfection. May we learn to be content in all our circumstances as we completely rely on You for all our needs.

Lord,

You are a great, mighty, and powerful God.

So why do I often simply see Your world as just involving me? My family? Or my country?

Lord, You are the God over all creation, over all the world, over every inch of land ,and every drop of water. You created each person amazingly unique. Each culture that has a distinct language, each person with a beautiful skin color, each one with a unique way of dressing, and each culture with it's different way of seeing life beautifully expresses Your creativity, and despite the Fall, is an echo of who You are in many ways.

My world is not just me, my family, or my country.

My world is Your world.

Teach me to see beyond what I currently see, beyond what I want to see, and reveal to me how You are working all over the great big huge creation, in the lives of people so markedly different from me that it scares me a little. Okay, maybe a lot. Maybe that's why I keep away, or don't think about it and keep my world small.

But my world must be Your world because you made me in it. And Your world is much bigger than my country. Much bigger than my family. Much bigger than me.

Dear Father, how You cherish your children! Your love for us is relentless and undeserved. Even Your discipline is motivated by compassion. Teach me to accept Your correction with humble gratitude. I do not ask You to withold Your discipline; I only ask that You grant me the wisdom and humility to learn the lesson quickly! I love You. Amen
