Lord Jesus,
Thank you for persistently asking the Father to sanctity me, to make me more like you, because I cannot change myself.
God, you must complete the good work you began in me.
Here's where I know I need more of your transforming grace.

The truth is, Father, only you know my heart. As I quiet myself before you, please reveal to me my core sins and brokenness -- things for which Jesus died and from which you intend to free me.
Bring your Word, Spirit, and grace to bear upon my conscience.
(Take the time to sit still before your Father, with a humble and listening heart.)
Father, thank you for convicting me without condemning me and for humbling me without shaming me.
