1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)
"....whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
"The Westminster Shorter Catechism asks the question, “What is the chief end of man?” Many of us know the answer. “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” While this is not a phrase drawn directly from Scripture, the wisdom behind it surely is. The Bible tells us with great clarity that man was created in order to bring glory to God. Thus the chief end of Christians and of the church is to bring glory to God. There is no higher calling." Tim Challies
Psalm 145:5 (ESV)
On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. Heavenly Father when I consider, contemplate and concentrate on Your Glory it is overwhelming. You reveal your glory in Your character as Holy, Love and Truth. In creation it is revealed in your wisdom, power and imagination. I see Your glory in the beauty of a butterfly, the immensity of a galaxy, in the forgiveness of repentant sinner. I see Your glory in the fruit of the Spirit demonstrated in the lives of your people
.
Father: "My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all the day." Psalm 71:8 (ESV)
I will sing "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created." Rev. 4:11(NRSV)
Amen!!!
