a prayer for unity and peace

Dear Lord,

As the war in Ukraine rages, we pray for your intervention.

We ask that unity will triumph over division and lover over hate.

On a personal level, we pray for your grace in our dealings with others.

Help us to be sensitive, empathetic and loving towards all of our neighbors.

In all things cause our words to be seasoned with grace and our actions with mercy.

We say amen in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

We can’t change situations and circumstances.

But we can PRAY.

We can cry out in the behalf of others.

We can believe and trust in the will of God.

We can’t lift each other up to God.

And we can know that He hears.

As the bird soars high

In the free holding of the wind,

Clear of the certainty of ground,,

Opening the imagination of wings

Into the grace of emptiness

To fulfill new voyagings,

May your life awaken

To the call of its freedom

to make limit of the threshold

Father, we are humbly appreciative of your good gifts everyday. Your kindness and thoughtful care are such a glorious expression of Your love for us.

Our God and Father, we worship You, love You and gladly give our love and lifes to You.

Praise God from whom all blessing flow. Amen!

for healing a sick soul

Oh, Lord, my soul is sick with hurt and anger. Holding on, like I am, to the memory of the pain inflicted on me is keeping me trapped in a dark place. I can almost see the heavy chains around my hands and feet, bolting me in the very situation that caused my shame.

Help me to stop reliving the moments of hurt. Cover me with your healing. Give me your strength to forgive. Give me your eyes to see those who hurt me the way you do. Heal me of my unforgiveness and free my spirit to trust and love again.

In your mighty name, amen.

Teach us grace and wisdom to act kindly, learning what is personal and what is not when we feel attacked.

Teach us to be hospitable to criticism.

Show how to put others at the center of things, and to act not from arrogance but out of service.

Show us what is looks like to build and refine our hearts and minds so that we may have the heart and mind of Christ.

Reveal to us grace where we failed to give it, and grace where we have received it, so that we may celebrate with joy in either our conviction or in our blessing

Heavenly Father, this wonderful song expresses so deeply the gratitude for the grace that can be written over all of my sin.

All it takes is a little humility and a lot of crying out to the LORD…

Just PRAY.

And then TRUST. BELIEVE. And EXPECT.
