Dear Father,
Sometimes the way ahead seems hard and fear grips our hearts.
Help us to find hope today and joy when we consider tomorrow.
Sometimes we cannot imagine a future that is better than the past.
Help us to embrace the idea that change can be good.
Sometimes we project our present pain onto our future lives.
Help us to heal today that we might embrace hope for tomorrow.
Sometimes it is easier to accept the darkness and reject the light.
Help us to be people who shine today and tomorrow.
