Dear Lord,
Our prayers can be so formal and ritualistic.
Help us to drop our guard and invite you into our lives.
Sometimes life can send us into a shell.
Bless us that we might open our hearts to you.
We are sometimes fearful of sharing our dark thoughts with you.
Give us confidence to boldly come to you in prayer.
