True Freedom
originated with God, is revealed in Holy Scripture, incarnated in Christ,
expressed in through Church, shared with the world, and enjoyed by all people
and nations who embrace its values and honor its traditions. True freedom
always implies responsibility which responds to the higher authority, God.
Genesis 2:16-17 (NLT)
But the LORD God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Galatians 5:13 (NLT)
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Father help us to express our gratitude for your
gift of freedom by living in a way
that honors you, demonstrates respect for all people, and values the sacrifice
of Christ that makes freedom
possible: “ So if the Son sets
you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36 (NLT)
Amen
