Sometimes the images in the writings of the saints are so profound and meaningful. This one from Saint Jane de Chantal is truly a lovely prayer. May God grant it to each of us!
May God make us strong in his holy love and our souls soft and supple as a glove, or like a ball of warm beeswax in his hands, to be molded as he pleases.
Amen

What a lovely prayer. Thanks so much for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteThe imagery of the potter is such an encouraging one.. especially for a lump of clay like me.
ReplyDeleteI love the story in Jeremiah where the Potter takes a lump of clay with a flaw, and designs it just the way he wants it to be. Lord take this old lump of clay filled with flaws, and make me just what you want me to be.
ReplyDeleteThanks so for this lovely prayer an imagery.
