Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Some times God allows scars ~~so you can touch others. We have many examples in the Scriptures. If dependence on God is the object - Then weakness can be an advantage. The following men were weak at some point in their life...but look what God did in each of their lives.

Jacob was a liar ~ Father of Nations
Moses - had an anger problem ~ But he wrote the Law that we read in the first 4 books of the Bible.
David ~ adulterer and murderer ~ The greatest King and a Heart like God.
Paul - Persecuted Christians ~ Became the 12th Apostle and gave us most of the New Testament.
Peter ~ Denied Christ ~~ Became the Rock, and reached his world with the Gospel.

What are my weaknesses? Am I willing to depend completely on God, and let him turn my weakness in to my strength.

That is my prayer today. "Lord, let the object of my devotion be to depend on you in every circumstance. Lord, take those things I battle in my life, my weakness, and by Your power turn them into strength and stories that will touch others, and bring glory to your Name. I love You. Amen."

  1. When I am weak, He is strong.
Now if only I can get out of the way and let Him do the job.
    Thank you for the reminder.

  2. "reach out and touch someone today" -- thats the only worthwhile aspect of living in this world, i too thought

    nice prayer Wanda,

  3. Whenever I think of a scar I think of a wound that has healed. In a sense scars can evidence a healing in our lives and give us wisdom to minister to those with open wounds.
