Daily Prayer

Come Holy Spirit

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever. -John 14:16 AMP

On Saturday January 19th my sister Eydie passed away. I ask that you might join me in praying for the Holy Spirit to come along side of my family and comfort us in our time of mourning.

Come Holy Spirit. Bring comfort to all who mourn. Especially help my brother-in-law Lou, my nephew Steve and my sister Nancy.

Come Holy Spirit. Restore joy to those who are in anguish of soul. Minister to all those who suffer. Answer the cries of those who hurt.

Come Holy Spirit. Strengthen those who are weak. Make your presence know to those who do not have hope. Restore those who have fallen.

We pray asking in the name of the God of all comfort and the savior of the world.

Too many times we think prayer is insignificant in our lives, when the truth is that prayer is the MOST important part of our relationship with Jesus. Prayer is where we become intimate with our Savior. It is where we receive the power manifested unto the Lord from His Father. It is where we grow and where we begin to live and begin to bear fruit.

If we want to bear fruit, we must keep ourselves aligned with Christ and the best way to do that is to stay on our faces before a Holy God. Prayer is the answer to all of our questions and problems.

Father, I so desire to bear fruit of you in my life. Help me to keep myself humble before you. Help me to realize the importance and necessity of a consistent prayer life. Help me to seek you early. I love you with all of my heart and soul and want to be like you. Thank you for the empowerment of your Holy Spirit in my life.l

Healing Power

Healing Power

Exodus 15:25-26 (NLT)
He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Father, we recognize that healing is by your power, and according to your will in accomplishing your purpose in our lives. All of this comes about as a result of our loving trust and obedience to your Word.

We know the truth and reliability of your promise in Romans 8:28 (NLT) … God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

So, today Father, we seek your healing according to your will and for your glory. This is a good day in which we will experience the power of your love perhaps in miraculous ways.

For this we thank you in the Name of Your beloved Son and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Inauguration Prayer

Father, we pray for our President as he begins his second term. We pray for protection. We ask for wisdom as he leads our nation. We pray that he would seek your face and that your Spirit would guide him, We pray for our country in the years ahead, that we would be unified as a people. Let your children lead the way in being peacemakers and in seeking the good of all. Amen

Your Messenger of Hope and Healing

Proverbs 15:4 "The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit."

Gracious Lord, make me Your messenger of hope and healing. Fill my mouth with words of life. Give me "an instructed tongue to know the word that sustains the weary." Open my ears to listen to those who mourn, to those who need hope. Gentle Savior, may the comforter bring comfort through me to the broken hearted. Amen. (Isa.50:4)

God Knows

Father as I think about my life and the various experiences encountered on a daily basis, I am so glad that you hear our prayers, remember your promises, see in depth our needs and fully know our concerns.

Trust

Grace for Today

Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Our Father and our God, what a wonderful way to begin Saturday. To begin at the throne of grace where your mercy enables us to come with boldness and assurance. We know that you hear our prayers and are truly concerned about our needs.

Today, Father I need wisdom to understand your will. I need strength to live according to your Word. I need help to focus on You while taking care of personal responsibilities. In the midst of this day’s activities I need to be mindful of your grace that is always sufficient for every situation.

I pray for my family and friends who also need your grace today. May it be a good day for them, filled with the joy of your presence, the healing of your power and the provision of your resources.

Father, you are so good to us and we humbly thank you for such amazing grace. We ask this In the Name of your beloved Son and our Savior, Jesus.

For Strength and Wisdom

Dear Lord,
Today I ask for the strength and wisdom that only You can give. I ask for strength to walk away from situations I must leave in Your hands and wisdom to know when You are calling me back. Give me eyes to see what You have before me and the sense to know how to use that information. And above all, Lord, thank you that no matter what happens You love me and hold me in the palm of Your hand.
