Dear God
I come before you today, seeking hope in the midst of my circumstances.
I look to you for help even as hope fades and my life grows hard.
Replace my distress with peace, and strengthen me in my weakness.
Today I place my trust in you, your grace and your mercy.
Bless me with the confidence that comes from knowing you.
Help me to know your better and to understand your ways more.
In you I will hope. In you I will rejoice. It is you I love.
I commit myself, and my ways, to you afresh.
