Remember to pray because prayer is linked to power

Jeremiah 33:3 (ESV)

3 Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Matthew 18:19–20 (ESV)

19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Romans 8:26 (ESV)

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Mark 9:29 (ESV)

29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

Acts 4:31 (ESV)

31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Lord.

Help me to remember to pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17) and persevere in prayer, knowing you will answer. Help me to pray even and especially when I feel weak and helpless, knowing that through prayer I am connecting with You, and the power that can only come from You. Help me to realise that activity without prayer accomplishes little because I need Your Holy Spirit's help to do the things You call me to do.
