SIMEON

 SIMEON

Luke 2:25. . . ."Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.  He was waiting for the consolation of Isreal and the Holy Spirit was upon him.  It had been revealed by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.. . . .When the parents brought the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praise God saying:

Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, You now dismiss your servant in peace.

For my eyes have seen your salvation which you prepared in the sight of all peoplel.

A light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Isreal.

Dear Lord, thank you for fulfilling the desire of Simeon's heart ~ not only did  he see You, but held You in his arms.  And I thank you Lord that what Simeon waited a lifetime to see has been revealed for all who will open their eyes.  You are the light of the world.  You are the hope of salvation for alll who believe.  I pray that at this Christmas Season, many will see the light and receive the salvation of grace by faith to freely given.  I love You.  Amen.
