O Lord, my God,
grant us your peace; already; indeed,
you have made us rich in all things!
Give us that peace of being at rest,
that Sabbath peace,
the peace which knows no end.

TRAMPS FOR THE LORD
World Christians are tramps for the Lord who have left their hiding places to roam the Gap of the Savior. They are heaven's expatriates, camping where the kingdom is best served. They are earth's dispossessed, who have journeyed forth to give a dying world not only the gospel but their own souls as well. They are members of God's global dispersion down through history and out through the nations reaching the unreached and blessing the families of earth. ~ Corrie ten Boom (1892-1983)
Lord, I honor Your faithful messengers who offer themselves as living sacrifices to You. They abandoned dignity, renounced comfort and relinquished possessions to go forth and cry redemption to the lost. Give me that heart, Lord. I come to the cross and by faith declare myself crucified with Christ and alive unto God, ready to worship and serve you with my life. I love You. Amen.

Astonishing
1 Peter 2:24 (ESV)
He himself bore our sins…….
Lord Jesus, I am startled and astonished by that
statement. “He himself bore our sins…” I can hardly think the thought or utter the
words: “He himself bore our sins…”
I cannot lift my head or raise my eyes to behold
such an unspeakable sight. I can only respond as another sinner: “…the tax collector stood at a distance and
dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest
in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ Luke
18:13 (NLT)
Such mercy reaches beyond
our need. It is the love that defies dimension. Lord Jesus enable us to “…. know this love that
surpasses knowledge-- "
Ephesians 3:18-19
(NIV)
Lord Jesus I think of
the song with such appropriate words: “I
come to the cross seeking mercy and grace. I come to the cross, where you died
in my place. Out of my weakness and into your strength, humbly, I come to the
cross. Your arms are open. You call me by name. You welcome this child that was
lost. You paid the price for my guilt and my shame, Jesus, I come to the
cross.”

for bearing my sin and bringing forgiveness and healing to my soul. It is
astonishing!

Establish our Hearts in Love
GOD our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ direct our ways; draw our hearts to love and abide in You, and make us to increase and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men to the end that He may establish our hearts unblameable in holiness before God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. open our eyes
A timely post from our beloved friend, Mike Erich, who is now with his Savior.
In 2 Kings 6:8-23 the Bible tells how frightened the servant of the prophet Elisha was when he saw the armies of Syria camped around them. But Elisha asked God to open his servant's eyes so that he might see the armies of God. And the servant saw chariots of fire all around them to protect them. It is often easy for Christians today to look at the things around us that endanger us and to forget God's protection.
Father,
Help us realize that Your protection is around us. Help us not to be intimidated by the difficulty of the situation we are in, but to remember You are with us. And help us to go forth in trust in You and not to be frightened by the things going on around us.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

Call Him Good
Lord,
You are clothed in majesty and wonder. Your greatness rises above all other greatness and your goodness shines like the sun. For your glory and power speak of your nature, of your desires for us, of your loves for your people. We tremble at the very thought of who you are.
Of all the things you've made, O Lord, we are your grandest design. You've entrusted us with the beauty of this earth, and you have made us in your image. You love us despite our sin, and your goodness is much greater than our sinfulness.
Father, you are so loving! So kind! May we sing of Your praise with excellence and with joy all the days of our lives.
Praise the Lord, O my soul. You are good.

PEARLS AND PRAYERS
We watched Barbara Bush's funeral Saturday, and was so pleased that the gospel was given in many different ways through Scripture, reading from grandchildren and others. Mrs. Bush's final words to her son when he ask moments before she passed if she was ready to go, answered that she was trusting in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord and was ready to go.
Dear Lord, thank you for the testimony of a woman who shared that her faith was in Jesus Christ alone, and that she knew Him as her personal Savior and Lord. I pray today for all those in attendance at the funeral, and all those watching by TV that the truth of You Word will reach into the hearts of those listeners. Father help us to live a life that honors you, and even in death give witness to your saving love and power. Father we pray for Pres. George W. Bush as he will miss his lovely Barbara so much. Give him grace in these difficult days. May your Word always go forth and accomplish what You want. We love You. Amen.

Soar
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Thank you Father that
though we may be limited by our frailty, weakness and lack of energy, we are
unlimited by our trust in you and your power that enables us to soar above and
beyond earthly circumstances.
And thank you Father for the testimony of the
Apostle Paul: “8Three
different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he
said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am
glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through
me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the
insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For
when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
(NLT)
We praise you Father in
the Name of Jesus who is our strength and who enables of to soar like an eagle.

Giving Thanks for Your Gifts
Gracious Father, You have given to us from Your extraordinary riches. We thank You for the gift of Your Son. May we excel in all gifts of grace. Make us willing people to sow bountifully in every gift of service. You have distributed very many blessings so freely to us through Your Son. As we consider Your kindness, we are thankful to You. May many others glorify and worship You as we serve them in love. We magnify Your Name on account of Your inexpressible gift. In Jesus Name we come, Amen

Grace
Heavenly Father,
We come before you today trying to understand more deeply the profound nature of your grace.
Everything about our lives is based on what we earn. Except for your grace. And it's so hard for us to live in the reality of this grace when all we want to do is help out... participate... earn it.
But we can't, Father. We may know this, but we struggle to live like we really believe it. And so we come to the foot of your cross.
We come before you today filled with hope that you can reach deep without our minds and bring the truth of your freely given grace into our hearts.
It cost Jesus everything. But costs us nothing.
May this undeserved favor, unconditional love, and powerful forgiveness always be at the center of our faith.
Amen

THE PATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS
Thank you Lord, for your light of truth that makes my way both safe and pleasant. With the light of Your presence You warm my heart. With the light of Your wisdom You enlighten my mind. With the light of Your Word you illuminate my path. How I long for the full light of that great and glorious Day when we Your people, will reach our destination around Your throne. There we will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for You, O Lord, will give us light and we will reign with You forever and ever. I love You. Amen.

We Win
Galatians 5:16-18 (NIV)
“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other…..”
“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other…..”
1 John 2:16 (NIV)
16 For everything
in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting
of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.”
Father, help us to be
consciously aware and alert to the spiritual conflict in which we struggle
every day. There is this incessant battle by outward enemies and inward foes to
discourage and defeat us in our daily Christian living. The
victory over the world, the flesh and the Devil is only through our focus and
faith in you. “This is the victory that
has overcome the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (NIV)
So Father we prayer for
victory today, the joy of triumph, and the peace that comes after battles hard
fought and won. “…..thanks be to God! He
gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)
We thank you Father in

Wonderful God
Our Father, great are Your works! They are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are Your deeds, O Lord, and Your righteousness endures forever. You have caused Your many wonders to be remembered; You are gracious and compassionate. The works of Your hands are faithful and just; all Your precepts are trustworthy. They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness (Ps. 111: 2-4, 7-8).

For me, there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom I live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live (1 Cor. 8: 6).
What a privilege that all who believe in Your Son Jesus Christ, and accept him, You have given the right to become children of God. Amen

Pope Francis' Five Finger Prayer
Using the fingers on your hand, start with the thumb and pray for these in this order:
Please visit The Prayer List and pray with us.
- The thumb is closest finger to you. So start praying for those who are closest to you. They are the persons easiest to remember. To pray for our dear ones is a "Sweet Obligation."
- The next finger is the index. Pray for those who teach you, instruct you and heal you. They need the support and wisdom to show direction to others. Always keep them in your prayers.
- The following finger is the tallest. It reminds us of our leaders, the governors and those who have authority. They need God's guidance.
- The fourth finger is the ring finger. Even though it may surprise you, it is our weakest finger. It should remind us to pray for the weakest, the sick or those plagued by problems. They need your prayers.
- And finally we have our smallest finger, the smallest of all. Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. When you are done praying for the other four groups, you will be able to see your own needs but in the proper perspective, and also you will be able to pray for your own needs in a better way.

A Prayer of Gratitude
Father,
We come before you today with a heart of gratitude. Knowing that today, we still get to live in the victory of the resurrection of Your Son Jesus Christ.
I hear the Savior say,
"Thy strength indeed is small,
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all."
We lift up the name of Jesus, the name so powerful that not even death could hold Him. One so powerful that all of our sins are washed away. Forever.
Jesus paid it all.
All to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain.
He washed it white as snow.
Thank you for this victory. This cleansing. Thank you for sending Your Son to pay the price for all that we have done. We praise You for this ultimate victory, one we cannot earn ourselves. And it's all because You love us.
Oh praise the one who paid my debt.
And raised this life up from the dead.
With deep gratidue, we pray.
Amen

ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD
1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
How great and gracious You are, my God, to give me ways to participate in Your glory. Your glory calls me when I stray from You and fills me when I look to You. You fill my life with choices~~how will I glorify you today? What means will I chose tomorrow? You make it easy for me to offer my praise. Your glory is pure joy. Amen.
"It is not only prayer that gives God glory but work. Smiting on an anvil, sawing a beam, whitewashing a wall, driving horses, sweeping, scouring, everything gives God glory if being in his grace to you ~ do it as your duty.
To go to Communion worthily gives God great glory, but to take food in thankfulness and temperance gives him glory too. To lift up hands in prayer gives God glory, but a man with a dungfork in his hand, a woman with a slop pail, gives him glory too.
He is so great that all things give him glory if you mean they should."

Greatest Purpose in Life
Psalm 40:7-8 (ESV)
7 Then I said, “Behold, I
have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: 8I
delight to do your will, O my God.”
John 4:34 (NIV)
"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
John 6:38 (NIV)
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
Mark 14:36 (NIV)
"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
2 Peter 1:17 (NIV)
17 For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
17 For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Holy Father, it is clear that your great pleasure
in your beloved Son, Jesus, came from his obedience to Your will in every
aspect of his life and death. Your will was his priority, purpose, passion and
pleasure. It was the preeminent desire of every beat of his heart. Little
wonder that he brought You such joy.
Father, help us to fully grasp that the singular
primary value of life, is doing your will. And so we pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your
kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew
6:9-10 (NIV)
In the name of Jesus Your Obedient Son and our
Savior. Amen.

Listening
Dear Lord,

Help me always to walk so closely with You that I don't fail to hear the whispers of my Shepherd leading me. And when I hear the prompting, I pray I don't ignore it because Your ways are best. Help me to be so in tune that I recognize Your voice. I thank You for the times You have spared me when I listened. May I always be sensitive to Your Spirit and I ask that You keep me from letting my ears become dull to You. I know that when I listen to You, you will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed in You. Amen

A Prayer for When We Get in the Way
Father,
We lift your name on high this day, Lord. Knowing your name is above all names. The name that causes demons to tremble, and our hearts to worship. The name that brings power and glory to the One most great throughout all the earth. The name that is highly exalted, worthy of all praise, that reigns in glory and majesty.
We are humbled by the power of your name. We acknowledge that we cannot hardly comprehend your majesty and power. We misunderstand, thinking we know what is best when many times, we don't. So Father help us to completely surrender our will over to yours so that we may be guided by your Holy Spirit. Help keep us focused on the call you have placed on our lives, and to simply preach Christ crucified. May we simply preach the power of his resurrection and his rescue of this world.
May your glory shine though us, so that your name is declared from the highest mountain.
Amen
