Psalm 22:4-5 (NIV)
4 In You our fathers
put their trust; they trusted and You delivered them. 5 They
cried to You and were saved; in You they trusted and were not
disappointed.
Father there many lessons to be learned
in life, but none of greater value, than learning to trust in You. That is why
the greatest legacy a father can leave his children is what it means to trust
You. There is hardly a day that passes in which this benefit will not be
immeasurably helpful to them.
In life’s
bewildering experiences Jesus said: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God;
trust also in me.” John 14:1 (NIV)
Father it is through trusting in You
that our children will have peace in the storm, hope in the future and strength
to endure. Then they will have confidence in your promise: “ 2 When you
go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of
difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. 3 For I
am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior….” Isaiah 43:2-3 (NLT)
Father, if our children will embrace
this trust in You they will experience the reality of Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT) “ You will keep in perfect peace all who
trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! 4 Trust in
the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.”
Thank You Father that we can leave a
lasting legacy of faith that will bless generations to come.
In Him alone who is our trust, now and forevermore.
