Father, these are strait forward,
stark and startling warnings about the greatest challenge people face, that is,
simply being lied to. No one is better at this than Satan. That’s why Jesus
said of Satan: ……He has always hated the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with
his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 (NLT)
Father, understanding and being aware
of the false tactics Satan uses, help us to be devoted seekers of truth as you
have so well give it to us in your Word, the Bible. And help us to “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will
be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 (NLT)
Thank you Father for the truth that
always defeats deception.
“For
this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to
take a stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles, you
will be able to stand your ground.” Ephesians 6:13 (GW)
