Lord, I want humility to be a gift of success.
Yet so often success produces pride and arrogance.
I want to live the kind of life that Jesus lived.
Yet I get ensnared as I lust for things that I do not have.
I want to be content with my blessings.
Yet contentment seems so hard.
Help me Lord to see life as you see it.
Teach me to see myself through your eyes.
That I might embrace humility and contentment.
Amen.
