help us to let go of the past

Compassionate Lord,

Wounds. Pain. Hurts that have scarred us.

Help us how to release these things.

Cause us to be people who forgive. 

Rain grace and mercy on us Lord.
That we might let go of yesterday.

And find new joy in life today.

Bless us that we might be a blessing.

Teach us to be soldiers of grace.

That we might love like you do.
