Billy Graham's Crusade Prayer

Many of us are rejoicing that Billy Graham no longer suffers and has passed on to heaven. To remember him, here is a prayer that he prayed over 60 years ago at Madison Square Garden at the New York Crusade in 1957. It is appropriate for us today.

Our Father and our God, we pray that … we all might be conscious that Thine eye is upon us. If God can see the sparrow fall, if He has the hairs of our head numbered, we know that He watches us, that He loves us, that He cares for us, and we’re told in Thy Word that He cares for us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to the cross to die that we might find forgiveness of our sins. We pray … that Thy Holy Spirit will draw all men unto the Savior, for we ask it in His Name. Amen.

  1. Thanks Bob. What a faithful servant. I had the honor of hearing him in person in 1955 at my High School in Turlock CA. Heaven is full of the people he shared the gospel with.

    1. I so agree Wanda. I worked at the crusade in 1978 and attended his last one in KC in 2004. He was a role model to so many of us in so many ways.

  2. The day he passed, The news and media replayed and quoted his words all day long. That means everyone everywhere somehow heard about Jesus. God has a reason for everything that happens. What a great man of God he was.
