Jesus, as we commemorate your sacrifice for us this week, let us remember that you counted the sufferings of the cross as nothing because of the joy that was set before you, the joy of knowing that your sacrifice would bring about new creation and would inaugurate the Kingdom. Help us to see our own sufferings in the same light. Amen.
