Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Battle Prayer

Grant that I may pray like I am going into battle, for I am. Amen

This short prayer from Bob Hostetler so reminds me of how our battle is not physical but spiritual; not temporal but eternal; not won by the flesh but by the Spirit; not fought standing but on our knees.

  1. I have prayed the Lord would make me a Warrior Princess but I'm afraid I haven't done a very good job. If nothing else my children and grandchildren need a mother who prays, and my husband deserves a wife who will lift him up in prayer each morning.

  2. Well said Martha ~~ Praying for our husband and kids really does make a difference. Prayer is just a gift...for those doing it, and those it's for.

  3. powerful prayer in just a few words. we tend to diminish the amazing power of prayer. it isn't about what we say, it's about who we say it to!
